Many of you who missed out on the two canvas book based Heirloom kits have emailed me, asking if I would offer some blank books for sale.
I had to really think about this because these books take a while to put together but I finally decided to offer some in limited quantities. These books are actually my design and I make each and every one of them...they are not made in some sweat shop overseas! Since I don't want my kitchen table turning into a factory workroom and I don't want to spend weeks sewing canvas books, the number of books will be limited.
The books are sold blank for your creating pleasure.
The canvas is designer quality and is wonderful for painting, stamping and even gluing on images, fabric and embellishments. The size of the book is approximately 8 1/2" x 11" and there are 14 interior pages for your photos and stories.
These books are definitely shabby in style...since each one is hand made, they are "perfectly imperfect"! As the women who have built their projects will tell you, once they are filled, they are amazingly beautiful. They are a softly sculpted structure and the covers are filled with a high quality felt to give them more substance.
I love touching my books and I've gotten emails from many who completed theirs that they love the feel and the textures, too (just so you know I'm not the only odd duck who likes to touch her projects :)).

Yes, I am a Francophile, too! I spent about 3 weeks in France in 2006. Last night I made a digital page from photos I took in Paris. The other night I saw a program on HGTV where 2 couples went together and bought a small flat with tall ceilings and big windows in Paris and revamped it. Really nice. Wish I could do the same.
