Carol, I just looked at the video--( check your link though as I had to google it to get there ) and without doubt, your lamp is my favorite. That button thing has a hold on a lot of us girls.

I love the buttons. When I worked in the costume shop at our local theatre, I had to make Pearly Kings for the show My Fair Lady. They were all black costumes covered in buttons. The were made by Victorian street sellers. Very difficult to make. We now use just plain white buttons, however, it the Victorian time they used pearl buttons and they would pick up the light beautifully.

Carol, I just had my hands in a tub of buttons earlier today. There is nothing like it! You did a great job with the lamp shade. I have a lamp shade skeleton too...just waiting for something! I embellish a lot of things with buttons to sell in the antique store and on ebay and etsy....button bracelets go quickly, and there are so many ways to do them. I embellished a pincushion with shell buttons not too long ago. Crocheted a jellyroll type one with this fabulously soft green yarn and frosted the sides with shell buttons. Please put a picture of your shade on your blog when you find a light bulb!!! Blessings....deb

Wow super Fabulous! You did it again... Hugs Grace

Instead of saying "I'm WORKING" say "I'm HAPPILY PLAYING" because that's what you're doing!

Carol, I'd call it "Being Creative On Purpose" Love your lamp shade. Buttons are the best.

You could call it "God's Gift"...because you have been blessed. I believe your kind of creativity comes from within and you might have even been born with it. May God continue to bless your work.

What a lovely lamp! I was just looking at your previous post and noticed a picture that caught my eye...the one with the Day Book (looks like a ledger book). Would you happen to know where I can get that? Thanks.
