“Art is not about thinking something up. It is the opposite -- getting something down.” (Julia Cameron)
Hello Everyone!
I had to grin when I came across the quote from Julia Cameron. According to what she says, there’s a lot of art happening around here right now!
I have spent weeks thinking of creative ideas, and hunting and gathering to put together the next Heirloom album. I’m excited about the ideas, the techniques and the products that will be used in the “Bon Voyage” travel journal.
I just wanted to touch base with you to let you know a couple of things. First, there are only a few spaces open for the April 2nd Heirloom Event/Workshop and the last day to sign up for that will be February 28th. After that, the remaining kits will be reserved for those wanting to purchase kits online. I’m planning to post them sometime during the first week of March and will let you know ahead of time when they will be posted.
There’s a lot of excitement building around the two events…March 26th (sold out) and April 2nd (a few spaces open). There’s been a lot of buzz as attendees are making their arrangements for hotels and the pre-event class. And, the feedback that I’ve gotten from the sneak peek I sent out has put a huge grin on my face.
For those of you who need to see what you are making before you sign up, I thought that I’d give you a sneak peek at the front cover of the handmade journal. I’m excited about it! As many of you know, I LOVE cool covers and when I have one that gets me excited, it’s really fun (and easy) to build the interior pages. You are going to love the inside…lots of cool techniques and layers of products and for those of you attending the event, the opportunity to add other layers from the additional products and stamps that I will be providing for you.
If this cover has you drooling, and you are yearning for some warm Phoenix weather and creating with a group of talented, excited and inspirational artists in a private home setting (my house!), just head down to the bottom of this post, where you will see a PayPal “Buy Now” button. Just click on the button and PayPal will walk you through the steps.
The day long event/workshop includes your Heirloom kit (which is loaded with the products you need to build and decorate the journal), special event packaging of your kit, hands on instruction on techniques, access to my collection of rubber stamps and additional product, breakfast, lunch (not a light lunch or snack type of lunch but a gourmet dinner styled lunch) and afternoon dessert. Wow, that’s a lot…and, it’s all for just $327!
Take advantage of this very limited opportunity of a repeat event…you can reserve your spot only until Monday, February 28th.
I’m really looking forward to seeing you in my home…and to helping you “get something down” to create your fabulous piece of Heirloom art!
EVENT REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU.

Wish I was closer, I would love to take one of those seats!!!!!
