...that's a succinct way of summarizing our jam packed, filled to the brim, Heirloom Boutique Event/Workshop on Saturday.
It was a totally fabulous day.
When I said that we would descend upon Patty's home, that is quite literally the truth. And, when I said that Patty opened up her home to us, that, too, was totally the truth. The entire upstairs was for us to use to create...plus, there were a couple of bathrooms and a couple of bedrooms (in case anyone needed a little power nap :))! We ended up gathering for food and conversation downstairs and spread out in the living room, family room, dining room and breakfast nook...like I said, pretty much the whole house! Patty and Craig were fabulous as host and hostess and I so totally appreciated their enthusiasm, their hard work and how they created such an inspirational setting for us.
I usually try to include a little something for each of the girls as my way of saying thanks for being there. This time, I created cupcakes and teacup and saucer pedestals for each of them. Here's a sampling of part of the table that Patty and I put together.
Grins abounded as I handed out each cupcake--here's Tiffanie sporting a huge grin and Shari in the background--the price of getting the cupcake was to share something unique about yourself that people may not know...some fun stories came out of that!
Event attendees have their kits packaged in special packaging...it's so much fun scouring my sources to find just the right piece for that particular kit. Here's the kit presentation this time.
It was a rusty trunk filled with all of the little goodies needed to build the project...and it had the whole group oooohhhing and aaaahhhhhing...it was really like Christmas when they opened their trunks...LOVED it!
A huge thanks goes to Sharon Margiotta for being our event photographer. I really appreciate how she captured all of the nuances of the day! When I saw her blog post, I had to chuckle...we definitely were on the same track when it came to picking photos to post!
I had to chuckle when I saw this one of Annette...she definitely looks like she's ready for a GREAT time!
Patty had some amazing food prepared for us...all beautifully displayed...almost too pretty to eat (although that seriously didn't stop us!).
Check out the menu...displayed for us on an easel...how clever!
There was a waxing session in the afternoon (Pam and Karen).
And, of course, some sewing...(Roxanne and Karen are concentrating for sure) how else are you going to get prom dress ruffles?????
There was laughter aplenty...here's Cricket with a big grin...
There was plenty of conversation...Earleen is deep into a story...Sherry, Annette, Pam and I are intently listening!
Our hostess, Patty, who kept us supplied with a constant stream of amazing food!
Afternoon dessert...those potted trees? They are red velvet cake balls, dipped in frosting, threaded with a lollipop stick and inserted into a styrofoam ball...what a fabulous presentation!
One of the things that I love about this day is that we all glean inspiration from so many things...the project, the presentation of the food, the food itself, and from each other.
Sharon is sending me more pix...and I want to post more of the girls who attended...so, be on the lookout.
Again, my thanks to Patty for being a wonderful hostess, to Sharon for capturing the event, and each and every person who attended for making it such an amazing day.
December 4th is just around the corner!

WOW! Looks like you had a lovely time! I'll have to take on a 2nd (or is it 3rd? ;) job so I can participate someday! *hugs* Good job Carol (and friends)
