I saw him several weeks ago after we had some rain...then he disappeared for a bit and now he's out cruising the back yard...on a mission (it's mating season, you know!). Sorry Fred, we only have food and water for you...no sultry little Eastern box turtle magically appeared while you were sleeping!
Every winter when he goes into hibernation, I wonder if we will see him in the spring. And, each spring when he comes around the patio door looking for his salmon, chicken, bananas, strawberries, or other such culinary delights, I am so tickled!!!
Life has had some curves in the road this past week. I ended up taking Ashley to Urgent Care on Wednesday after she was having chest pains and a hard time breathing. Turns out that she has pneumonia. She had just spent part of her Spring Break in California visiting friends the previous week and was totally healthy so I didn't see that one coming at all. And, having had a serious bout of double pneumonia when I was 16, I can totally commiserate with her. Bedrest is the pits!
She's doing a bit better today...after lots of sleep and meds. We're hoping and praying for a really fast recovery.
Hope you have a great weekend.
