there's a new girl in town...
...and she's moved into our home.
Earlier this week, I received a call from Tena to let me know that her mom, Darlene, had found a dress form at auction and was I interested. Was I interested? Ummmm....I think that would be a definite YES!
I think it was about two years ago that Tena asked her mom to put a dress form on the list for me. Tena's folks love to go to auctions, estate sales, garage sales, etc. and are champion shoppers.
I can't believe she remembered after two years. Amazing, really.
I don't know the date or the circa on this girl...all I know is that she is in good condition, is a small size, doesn't smell like smoke or mildew, and was an incredible bargain. SOLD TO A NEW ADDRESS!
So...I need to name her (especially seeing how she has "borrowed" some of my jewelry and seeing how I introduced her to Ashley and Elizabeth as their new adopted "sister" :)) tee hee).
I was thinking about Ella or Emma. Any thoughts or suggestions?
On a different note, just wanted to let you know that the January creatologie kit is posted and the PayPal storefront has been created...sort of. :) What's supposed to take a few seconds has taken up a good part of my day. It kind of reminds me of home improvement projects that I've done...5 minutes to do the project but 5 hours to find the tools, buy the tools I'm missing, return the wrong tools...you get the picture.
Hopefully, it'll work. If not, just email me and we'll work through it together...and forgive me for just not being a super 'puter whiz...definitely not my specialty.
January is all about home, family and friends...our nests! I started planning out this project back in November and since then, I've seen all sorts of magazine and newspaper articles about our "nests". Maybe it's a little like buying a new vehicle and then seeing hundreds of either the same vehicle or the same color!
There are more pix on my creatologie blog...hope that we can do some creating together.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Not Emma.
I was a nanny for a girl named Emma...and man, she gave me a run for my money - big time. I'm still amazed that we both survived the year.
And then, when Allan was two we had a german/shephard mix. And her name was Emma.
We lasted a year, but not much more.
Emma's are trouble.
no offense to any of the good Emma's...I'm just sharing things from my perspective. lol

OOOOOOOO she is so stylish! I think she needs a name like "Elise" pronounced A-LEECE. LOL Kind of "high society" LOL

How about Violet or Charlotte? And I just placed my order for your kit. :)

I like Emma or Ella either one, but I think you need to add a Sue or Lou or something to the end to make her a little more sassy, since she is so bold to wear all those necklaces all at once like that. She seems kinda high falooting to me and needs that extra on her name.
I ordered one of your kits. I can't wait to get it. Is there a certain date you will ship those out?

Oh another added comment about Emma Lou after looking at her again...she is definatley sassy wearing that bright colored scarf around her skinny little self...she definately needs a sassy name.

My mum had a dress form just like that. I think we used to call her Doris.
I think an old style name would be great for her ...Milly maybe. But Emily and Emma are both nice.
