speaking of white...

Ashley spent last week up in Idaho visiting with my parents and my brother, sister-in-law and nephews.  She saw lots of white...said that she took over 100 pix of white stuff (you can tell that she's a Zonie girl who doesn't see much of it!)...I asked her for a CD of the photos...for another white book, of course!

Here are a few:

Ashley tried to make "bunny ears" on this guy but her cousins thought he looked more like a devil!

I think Ash has a great eye...love what she took!

It's been great reading all of your honest and well thought out comments for what you want to accomplish in '08!  Here's something that I want to see happen this year.  I have a half dozen boxes stacked up in one of our offices...they are filled with papers...things that have been in a pile and needed to get cleaned up immediately because company was coming.  So, they were shoved in a box and stuck in the corner.   Apparently they aren't all that important since I've not gone into any of them since I put them there.  I just need to take some time and sort through, throw away, file, etc...just make some concrete decisions as to what I really need.

Anyway, looking forward to picking a name tomorrow.

Wow, look at all that snow. Ashley sure does have a keen eye for photos. I can't wait to see what you do with snowy photos.

I am so impressed with what Ashley captured. These are truly breath taking photographs. I love them all. My son just shared pictures with me from Afghanistan. Their first snow in over 10 years. Not nearly as much as this, but enough to show the locals how to have a snowball fight. :o)

I love the photos, she did a great job capturing them

Love the photos, especially the one of the train tracks and bridge... she took some great photos... only a zanie zonie would take so many snow photos (count me as one, I was born here after all). My nephew thought he would try surfing over Christmas... in the cold pacific water... brr (but he's a teenager and you can't tell him anything...) our weather was beautiful today... hope to see you soon.

Wow, she really has a good eye! The photos are wonderful!!

smiles,

Oh those snow pictures are beautiful. I wish we would get some good substantial snow. We haven't got any in years and I am longing a good snow day to stay inside snuggled by the fire with a good book in hand and hot chocolate.

Oh I want to do just that too...clean out, see what I really need, throw away, make good choices on what comes in the house, just get out of this smothering feeling I have. I have already started it and now I have a big load to take to good will or the church down the street who collects things and passes them on to families in need. I have cleaned out old odd and end glasses, bowls, dishes etc. And next will be the blankets, sheets, etc. And in the middle of all that home decor stuff that I think I want to keep and know I'll never use again. It is hard to let some things go, especially the stuff I have made, but I can't keep it all and my taste has changed to more simple. I love reading your blog. It always gets me motivated.

Now I just need a good snow day...

Louise

Oh man... those last two photos are FABULOUS!

gorgeous shots!

Wow, Carol, GREAT photos!!! I hate the cold but I love your photos!

Beautiful photos! Had to laugh at your comment about boxes being filled in a hurry before guests arrive... been there, done that! Then I have NO idea where to find stuff that was cluttering up a counter, before the company arrived... drives me crazy, but not crazy enough to get my act together, I guess! Love the spinner book... really is pretty! Wish I lived near enough to attend a class of yours! All my best in '08!

What beautiful pictures! They made me so homesick, I grew up in Idaho but now live in New York. Thank you for sharing.
