So...what's still on your "To Do" list?
Yesterday, I sat down and wrote down what still needed to be done before Christmas.
Well, that was depressing...it seems like just about everything is still not done.
How's this for a To Do list?
- * Shop for 95% of Christmas gifts
- * Wrap and ship part of them
- * Wrap remaining ones
- * Buy and address Christmas cards
- * Plan Christmas Eve dinner menu
- * Deep clean house...that's a biggie!
- * A little bit of baking...just for the fun of it
I think that life will be busy for the next few weeks.
What's on your To Do list? If you have a lot to do, please tell me...you know how misery loves company :). If you don't have much to do, tell me...it will help motivate me to get moving!
Hope you have a happy and productive weekend working on your "To Do" list!
BTW, Ashley thinks that this snowman is a little scary. Now me, I just think he's kind of cute and funky.

Well Carol - I have to admit - I think I agree with Ashley on this one. There is something just a wee bit evil about the mouth!
Love watching you decorate for the holidays

It's the teeth. It makes him look like he might bite. I have sooo much to do for CHristmas but I can get ready in time... if they move it to February. I may not get everything ready, so I'll just make sure I get ready in my heart. I am alreday making plans to start earlier next year....

Yep, I still have tons to do! I actually got a good early start, but I just recently discovered that I am going to be hosting Christmas at my house this year (my Mom usually hosts it, but she now has to have surgery next week-with a month recovery time, so Christmas is now going to be here. Oh, along with the surgery, they are checking for possible uterine cancer, so prayers would be much appreciated!). So most of my "to do" list involves getting ready for that. Not looking forward to the "deep cleaning" part!!

Well.... as I sit here with a desk full of papers to correct... I am thinking of all I have left to do at home.... everything you said.... plus! But.... you know... it always seems to get done... and what doesn't.... probably wasn't that important anyway! Enjoy the season....
I think your snowman is cute.... he does look like perhaps something a little naughty and scandalous might be on his mind.... hee hee!

Cards are done and most of the gifts bought, but that is where it ends!
My little shih tzu, Morgan, passed away suddenly on Wednesday so I'm having a very hard time even thinking about Christmas because I miss her so much. I know I'll get it all together, but it's hard. I keep reminding myself that I still have 14 days before our Christmas Eve celebration. I hope everyone has a happy holiday. I love your snowman!

Maybe I need first need to make time to make a list ;>! Had to do some deep-cleaning myself today because we're having surprise company tonight. Our daughter-in-law has invited her good friend to stay here with us for the remaining two weeks till they both deploy to Iraq. So the newly-nicknamed "guest suite" (both bedrooms/bath at one end of the 2nd floor) needed freshening. Now I'm looking forward to having GIRLS in the house!!

Hey girl!
I like your snowman....he's a whimsy happy fellow! My list of things to do is just way way too long this time of year!!

Thank goodness! So nice to know there is someone else that has 95% of the Christmas shopping left to do as well as all the rest. I am preoccupied with decorating - the most fun part if you ask me!

Have to say I agree with Ash, the snowman looks menacing. At the top of my to do list is to get home! But before that can happen I have papers to finish, and finals to grade. And, of course, shopping to get done. Can't wait to be back in AZ and have the chance to relax.

He's much cuter up close and doesn't mean to look menacing! I have one too! http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/1659/2514/1600/IMG_0667.jpg

Just so everyone knows they are not alone.....I have 100% of gift to buy and 50% of cards left to address, no baking done yet either or any decorations in the house, but the house is now clean top to bottom and tomorrow is the big decorating day along with finishing cards....it has begun and p.s. I LOVE Mr. Snowman but i love funky and quirky to :) Good luck on your list!

Carol good luck on your to-do list! Mine is still quite lenghty... heres my logic tho.. its not DEC 24!! haha. Actually I'm quite excited because our Walmart has gone 24/7 again ... which means NO MORE LINE UPS. YIPEE.... the last few nights has been "AOL" day at Walmart - haha with the 6 or 7 of us who got off work between Midnight and 1am heading out THEN to do some christmas shopping. The stores are not busy, quite quiet actually, lovely christmas music playing, no bored-frustrated-cranky-whining kids, and NO LINE UPS. Its great!! I have bought my sisters christmas gifts and those were shipped by mom last week ..... I've bought stocking stuff for at my inlaws house.... and THAT IS IT! :) I haven't started addressing my cards yet cause my family photos aren't in until the 12th (so I'm procrastinating until then LOL).
HAPPY DECOR'ing & cleaning & to-do listing :)

I don't buy many gifts. I don't send cards. I don't make myself crazy with trying to top or outdo last year or anything. What I DO do is slow down, not over-commit myself, keep things simple - both in decorating and gifts (and I do mean very simple) and enjoy the season for what it should be about. I don't understand why people think that the busier they are, the more money they spend on gifts, the more names they have on their Christmas card list, the more functions, parties and activites they have to go to that Christmas means so much more to them! Indeed, is this true? I've been on that side, and trust me that this side is more meaningful, enjoyable and inspirational. Funny thing is, my friends and family have embrassed the same perspective and our Christmas times have been wonderful! "I shall honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year."
