Tag Monday
Yesterday, I was cleaning out my nightstand drawer and pulled out a stack of garment tags.
I have this thing about collecting unique clothing tags. If I give them a second glance, then they are worth collecting. Garment tags have some of the most awesome graphics, use of colors and fonts of any printed matter out there and they inspire me.
So much so that one of the projects I created for Artful Memories was a book made out of unusual tags. Then, months later, I taught a tag travel journal class called "Better Than a Tag Sale" at Ink It.
So, like I said, I have this thing for tags.
I decided to blog about tags being an inspiration, blah, blah... then last night, I get tagged by Cari. OK, for sure it's Tag Monday.
I met Cari last weekend when I was in Edmonton. She was one of the instructors and is sweet, kind and genuinely nice...the kind of person you'd like to have as a neighbor or friend or cropping pal. On top of that, she is really talented...check out some of the layouts on her blog...they're awesome.
OK, so the tag goes like this:
1. Link to the person's blog who tagged you. Done.
2. List seven weird things about yourself...OK, weirdness is in the eye of the beholder...let's call it "unique things" about yourself. Done
I think I did five things several months ago, but I'm sure there are enough "unique" things about me that I can find seven more. ;)
- I have a hard time sleeping at night without white noise
- I don't like peanut butter and jelly together...don't even like the smell of them together
- Hate hair in the bathroom sink
- Russian was the first language I learned
- I'm religious about taking my vities every day...that's vitamins, not taking my vital signs:)...not that unique!
- I love potatoes but French fries are my least favorite potatoes
- Gotta have my coffee first thing in the morning.
So there you have it...and Torm, I bet you remember the one from the first list that totally got you fired up...wearing socks to bed!
OK, enough of my uniqueness...on to the next step.
3. Tag seven people to do the same and post a comment on their blog. Done
OK, I wanted to tag seven people I'd never tagged before...so here goes.
- Anam, another one of the instructors at CSCK-Edmonton. She's the kind of person who instantly becomes your friend...I was so happy to be able to meet her and spend some time with her.
- Marirosa, who is so sparky...enthusiastic, zesty, and fun to be around. Love her.
- Dee, who is one of my "Down Under" scrapping
palsmates...and an awesome photographer...check out her recent pictures taken in Cambodia - Dana, who was one of my Creative Escape cropping pals...the more time I spend with her, the more things I find we have in common. She is a fantastic stamper and card maker...and we like a lot of the same foods.
- Stella, who wrote me an email this weekend and asked me to make mention of her new journaling blog...here's a great opportunity to journal about your uniquenesses (is that a word?...doubt it!)
- Janine, one of the most patient people I know...a volunteer and instructor at CSCK-Edmonton, a cowboy hat wearer, and the only person I know who treats beer like a cocktail by mixing orange juice into it...she couldn't convince me to try it...she says it's great and I'll just take her word for it
- Debby, whom I've known for quite a while but haven't seen since CHA early this year. She is such a creative and talented designer and instructor...can't wait to spend some time chatting again!
OK, I'm off to post comments on seven blogs.
Did you happen to notice the list maker gene present throughout the whole post? Tee Hee...it's a sickness. By the way, for those who do PDA lists, how in the world do you staple a ribbon or a piece of paper you need to take shopping with you...or insert a brad you need to color match...just curious...
Hope you enjoyed Tag Monday!

Wow, and I thought I was the only one who saved my cool tags from clothing!! LOL...my most recent save, tags from Lucky Jeans...so fun!
Have a great day!

I love to collect clothing tags too. Especially from teen clothes, many of them are cloth and quilted. Loved the topic and pictures.

I'm so glad I saw your post as I was tagged too and was intending on tagging you as well. Very same topic too. How funny.
And I hate hair in the bathroom sink too!
