Are you a list maker?

Listscollage I am...absolutely.

I have a list for everything.

I start my morning with a To Do list.

Then I have an ongoing shopping list on a little chalkboard in my kitchen.  When it's time to hit the grocery store, that list gets transferred onto a more portable list.

I have little bits and pieces of paper here and there with lists of sites I want to check out, people I want to Google,  supplies that sounded interesting, books I want to look at on amazon etc., etc., etc.

Then there are the quotes that are worth saving...they're on some notebook paper somewhere.

I've got a wish list of things that I'd like to get...someday.

Can you see how all of these lists can become an organizational nightmare?  My problem is that I have so many lists that I can't keep track of them.  Earlier this week, I couldn't find my to do list and while rooting through some of the stuff on my counter, I happened upon a list from last week...Ha!  found it...but a little too late.  :))

I'm not much of a computer list maker...I love paper (big surprise), the feel of the leather index tabs on my Dooney day planner, the texture of the thin sheets of parchment paper in the note pad, and being able to fold my 4x6 index card lists and slip them into my purse.

Anyway, I decided to take a page out of my friend Jeanette's book of organization and make myself a book to house my lists.  It's been so much fun to put together.  It's got lots of pockets, clips and folders so that I can take out the old and put in the new lists.  Now all I have to keep track of is my little book!

How do you stay organized?  Are you a list maker?  Do you use paper lists or a PDA?  Would love to hear your thoughts.

Happy Saturday...relax and keep the lists short!

I make my lists on paper, and I ALWAYS put something on that list that I just got done so I can cross it right off to make it look like I'm off to a good start.

I am a list maker, and darn proud of it!!! :D Marking something off the list is one of my greatest joys. I sure hope you'll share photos and instructions for your book.

Being a paper addict I totally use paper list, I have so many little journals and notebooks it's crazy, I have a quote notebook, a gratitude notebook, a day timer to keep track of where I need to be, one in my purse so I know what I need to buy while I'm out shopping....and so on and so on but I rarely forget an event or an appointment so I think my system must be working.

P.S. Love your "to do book" BEAUTIFUL!

Happy Week

I had to laugh when I read this (especially the comment from Torm). I am not a list maker, but Lisa is. Lists, lists, lists, everywhere! For those of us who simply "wing-it" through life a list keeper is a real mystery!

this is beautiful! xoC

Lists, Schmists...I can't ever seem to find mine! I wish I could get more organized; take a gander at my cousin Wendy's blog (she's so on it!)

Love.

OH yes!! I am definitely a list maker!! I always have been and I really can't do things without one. I just plain forget.
I am a "paper" list-maker as well. It's just easier and I like writing with my pen and on paper. Just like that.

Hope you're doing well and have re-couped from last weekend here in Edmonton.

BTW, just thought I'd let you know you've been tagged. (hope you don't mind) Just check my blog out for details.

Take care & have a great week!

I am just like you...I am forever making lists and jotting down neat little saying here and there on post it notes or other pieces of paper. I need to do one of these little books with the different areas for my different types of lists. I just love lists...but there was a time when I was a teenager I hated lists. My step mother made a list for me everyday with the "chores" I had to do. So I dispised them. I refused for the longest time to make a list for anything I needed to do to spite her even tho she was long gone from my life, I was married, had my own children etc. Finally I decided lists were a good thing and brought them into my life. Funny how I rely on them now.

Love making lists. Funny thing, I had a list of things to take to the cabin this weekend and forgot several of those items on my list! So much for my list!!!

My ex used to say that I needed a list to keep track of my lists. ha ha. I keep a running grocery list on the frig and I start my day with a to do list that is always longer than the time I have to work with. I love my paper list supplies, and refuse to have a PDA - it positively takes way too much time to enter everything and then retrieve it.

Would you believe that I add things to my list that are completed, just so I can check them OFF my list!? OCD??? AH! You inspire me! I am going to put three or four stars next to "create something" on my week old, not getting done list!
