a very fun class today...
It was a Life Stories-Holiday Traditions class at Scrapbooks Etc. and we had a chance to do layouts about the fall holidays as well as Christmas. Glimmer Mist was definitely a fun product...it's available in about a dozen colors at Scrapbooks Etc. and in almost all of the 60 colors at Scrapbook.com (a good place to buy from if you're not in the Phoenix area).
Of course, with Halloween just around the corner, we had to have some fun treats like Two Bite Brownies...my story about these brownies is that because they only have two bites, they have no calories. Someone in the class today said that if there are calories in the first bite, the second bite negates them. Either way...they were a great treat. I served them on my 3 tiered cake stand, complete with a little halloween party hat.
If you're interested in making a party hat, you can get some fun templates here. I just used the plain one, cut it out of ivory cardstock, inked it with Color Box Chalk ink, then added the image, glitter, ribbon, trims, buttons and bling. Can you imagine what a fun project this would be to make with kidlets?
Before I go, just wanted to pass along one happiness secret from the book 100 Simple Secrets of Happy People: "Surround Yourself with Pleasant Aromas". I like that one a lot...it's easy! Think spicy fall candles, fresh apple pie, pumpkin pie, butternut squash soup...I'm off to pull out the candles.
Have a fabulous (and fabulous smelling) weekend!

Love the party hat!!!!! Hummm the smell of Apple Crisp baking in the oven or the smell of fresh bread when you walk into the bakery....... ahhhhhh
See you soon!

Hi Carol, Loved your class, as usual. I just finished the pumpkin lo early this morning. My married daughter say the angel lo last night and wanted it for her book so like a good mother I said ok. I'm even making a 2nd coordinating page for her. Anyway, can't wait for your next class.

I am now addicted to Glimmer Mist. I am seriously considering using it on some home decor items. Love the glimmer and I love your hat!!!
