the well of inspiration is so full...

Flowers_closeup It was a fantastic combo of play and work...actually way more play than work, truth be told.  It was Creative Escape, year 2.

Do you know how sometimes you just get so in the mode of work that you don't realize how much you need some downtime to play?  That's where I was...but this weekend totally rejuvinated me!

It's definitely different sitting in the seat of the student...trying to keep up (I'm kinda slow sometimes :)), feeling a little bit of pressure to finish the project...you all know what I mean!  Afterwards, I thought about all of the students who sat there last year in my classes feeling that same tightness in their shoulders...who also forgot all about breathing...sigh...sorry about that!  But it was fun in the long run, wasn't it?

I have lots of projects to finish up...here are a couple of my faves that need to be completed.

Creative_escape_071 Just wish I could work on them today while the inspiraton is so fresh, but work and duty are calling...

It was great to spend time with my Virginia friends all day Thursday and also great to be with my local friends for the rest of the weekend-that would be Tena, Laurie and Dana!

It was also so fun to see so many familiar faces from last year and to make new friends with this year's newbies!

The Friday Night Extravaganza was also a total blast...15 minutes of fun with each group creating an altered playing card album...loved being able to participate in that event.

Don't you wish you could create today?  My thoughts exactly!

Enjoy your Monday!

So enjoyed sharing a couple days with you before our CE classes began!! Wish I could have seen you relaxing (or not) in the student's seat :>). Sorry we didn't have a chance to say good-by before my early flight, but it won't be long before you're back in VA.

It was a good time for sure! It did feel fantastic to get to create alongside my favorite people! Tena

Looks like you had a lot of fun! I would LOVE to go on a weekend retreat! Our store is having a pink crop and I am seriously considering signing up to be there as a "customer" not as an "employee". Whenever we have a scrapbooking convention our store always has a booth set up, so all employees are either working at the store or the show. I have worked shows for over 8 years now. One day, I hope to be one of the lucky people that are shopping instead of working. LOL

The projects were incredibly creative. And the Friday night extravaganza was such a fun way to get creative too. I had a panic attack yesterday as I was unpacking and did not find my Friday night projects in my suitcase. Thankfully, Susanne had inadvertently packed them in her suitcase. :)
