be yourself: live with passion: almost famous...

This past Saturday morning, I opened up the newspaper to find this...

It was on the front page of the Gilbert section of The Arizona Republic...a pic of Country Manor owner, Kristin, and moi chatting it up. Actually, it appears that I was doing the chatting...and no, I wasn't pointing at her. I was showing Kristin the height of something.

The journalist/photographer had asked if it would be OK to shoot some pix and I basically said "whatever", totally thinking that it would never show up in the paper anyhow. It's a bad pic...but he spelled my name correctly and he did mention that I was a scrapbook and crafts author. Any publicity is good, n'est pas? Now, if I had been on the front page of the whole newspaper, then maybe I would be famous...but, for now, it's almost famous.

In other news, Ashley is starting court reporting school on Monday. She is really excited about the whole program and it's like there's a weight that's lifted off her shoulders. Indecision can really bog you down, can't it? It's a self paced program that's full time and it will take her anywhere from a year to two years to get her certification, depending on how fast she wants to work. It's a great way to use her Justice Studies degree, plus it's a career that's in high demand that can be taken anywhere in the country where there are attorneys...so, that would be anywhere. :)) We're really excited for her!

I've been furiously kitting up my classes for Right at Home...they are heading out of town on a big brown truck tomorrow. Yay!

OK, back to the kits. I keep envisioning that they're done but it doesn't seem like anything's happening while I'm blogging. So, I guess it's up to me to do something!
