Last night, we had the mother of thunderstorms. In my 26 years of living in Arizona, I've never seen such a display of lightning...it was almost constant for about an hour and half...kind of like the grand finale at a fireworks display. Vern, Ashley and I all sat in the family room and watched the strikes across the canal which backs up to our house...lightning and thunder was almost simultaneous a number of times. We lost our power...fortunately for only a few minutes. The patio was flooded with water...also a first for us...the street looked like a stream. This morning, the air was so clean and fresh smelling, it was actually cool enough to take the dogs for a walk, and, of course, there was a ton of debris to clean up (but totally worth it!). Everything is so fresh & green...taking a deep breath outside actually feels healthy!

That WAS a very exciting storm. I'm so glad we got the much need rain. I loved the smell this morning and how everything was so fresh! http://jolenegeorge.blogspot.com/
