I am a sucker for great looking packaging. There are times when I'll buy something in a store because the package was cute...not because I really needed what was inside. Today, I got some of the vintage art collage charms that I ordered from Sally Jean...more are on the way!
The charms were wrapped inside the little gift box in soft aqua tissue, aqua tulle was wrapped around the gift box and a little package with a candy necklace was included.
Clever...irresistable..cute. At this point, would you even care what was inside? I savored the wrapped package for a while but eventually curiosity won out and I just had to open it...
Aren't they just great? I'm looking forward to getting a couple of houses, as well as a vintage button house in a silver box that she is currently creating for me. She does exceptional work...the little collages inside are just amazing.
Writing about the impact of packaging reminded me of a package I had received several months ago from Heidi. I opened up the shipping box to find a pink (of course it was pink!) cake box inside, tied with black tulle with a large Heidi Swapp pink flower attached with a Bazzill black/white polka dotted wings (really big brads). It was amazingly clever and creative. I literally kept that box all wrapped up on my counter for a couple of hours...I totally enjoyed the contents when I finally did open it...lots of great new product to work with...always fun!
I really appreciate the extra time and effort that goes into artful wraps...I love the special touches...they make me smile and totally make my day!

Can't wait to get my stuff...ordered after reading your blog...from Sally Jean. I am a wrapping frak so I'll enjoy my packaging when it comes.

Brilliant, I'd say. Packaging is what sells the product. And seeing what you received from Sally Jean only makes me more anxious to receive my order!!
I can only imagine the packaging you received from Heidi. It certainly inspires me to try to do a better job at giftwrapping during the holidays! By the 2nd or 3rd gift, I switch to gift bags!!
